Stella chocolate is a Swiss brand.The ginger bar is a creamy bittersweet chocolate with bits of candied ginger in it.
I thought the chocolate would be gingery in flavor but I was wrong. The candied ginger kind of hits you all at once after the chocolate melts on your tongue.
Still it is very good and I like the sleek asian packaging.

Ginger chocolate? Damn, our Aussie chocolatiers need to be more daring in their flavour combos! Why can't we get any of that stuff here? :(

I got this one at an import supermarket. If you can get your hands on some candied ginger, you could try making some for yourself! I have a stash of some and am waiting for the weather to get cooler to try it. :)

Hi Kat - I haven't tried this particular brand, but Green & Black, the organic chocolatier, does a fantastic chocolate with candied ginger pieces. And chunks of chrystallised ginger in dark chocolate is one of the best after-dinner treats out there:)

I'm thinking of trying to dip my own candied ginger pieces in dark chocolate and see how they taste. Will be on the look out for Green & Black's version too :)
